Project 5: Flow Driven S&OP

Flow Driven S&OP with AI Integration

Objective:
Ensure that network capacity meets demand in an affordable way, using AI to forecast, model scenarios, and balance supply and demand. This system allows businesses to rapidly adjust plans without recalculation delays or the need for real-time data, while maintaining alignment with long-term strategic goals.

Key Elements:

  • Flow Groups & Resource Aggregation:
Products are grouped into Flow Groups based on sales and manufacturing patterns, with AI helping to optimize groupings. Resources are aggregated into buckets, and AI-driven insights support capacity planning by analyzing past resource utilization and production trends.
  • Bill of Flow:
The Bill of Flow is a flat representation of the load that Flow Groups place on resources. AI simulates demand changes and assesses how they impact capacity utilization, enabling businesses to make adjustments rapidly and affordably. Modeling is instant, with AI allowing for scenario testing and memory-based adjustments without recalculation delays.
  • Demand & Supply Balancing:
AI helps balance production by simulating potential bottlenecks or imbalances, allowing for forward or backward adjustments. It also calculates service level thresholds, guiding decisions about where supply reductions can occur without compromising service levels.

Benefits:
Flow Driven S&OP ensures that businesses can meet demand efficiently, using AI to drive better decisions, balance capacity, and rapidly adjust plans. By integrating AI into the process, businesses can align supply chain activities with long-term strategic goals, optimizing both performance and profitability.
